The air maybe smokey but construction continues at a rapid pace on several large apartment projects in downtown Salt Lake City’s western edge.  There are nearly 1,000 residential units are under construction in the area with another 400 actively proposed.

The largest of the project underway is the mixed-use Hardware District. With almost 1,000 residential units underway or recently completed and 360,000 square feet of proposed commercial space, this project will continue to transform the two blocks just north of The Gateway and North Temple.

Just east of the Hardware District is the 240-unit Skyhouse Apartments.  That project is framed out and beginning exterior work on the northwest corner of North Temple and 300 West.
